A Tuscaloosa man charged last month with filming and sharing a video that allegedly depicted him engaging in sex acts with a minor is back in the Tuscaloosa County Jail facing a new first-degree rape charge.

The first charges came after the accused, Michael Terrell Dante Williams, reportedly uploaded a sexually explicit video involving a 16-year-old girl to a popular pornography site in 2018.

Williams was charged in September with production and dissemination of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 involved in obscene acts, both of which are felonies.

The 27-year-old Tuscaloosa man was arrested again Sunday and charged with first-degree rape.

Investigators said in a deposition filed this week that they discovered video evidence that depicts Williams forcibly sexually assaulting a minor victim who was allegedly drugged at the time.

The video was reportedly shot at a hotel on McFarland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa in 2017.

Williams, who had been released on bond for the September charges, was placed back in the Tuscaloosa County Jail and remained there Tuesday afternoon. The new felony rape charge carries a $60,000 bond.
