Mae Hoggle Frost, Age 83 of Tuscaloosa, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, at home.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South with Reverend James Crawford officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Chapel one hour prior to the service.

She is preceded in death by her parents; James Roy and Beulah Mills, brothers; James Roy Mills, Jr, Thomas Mills, Ben Mills, Hallie Mills, Harry Mills, Johnny Mills, Archie Mills, and Cullen Mills, sisters; Sara Hargle, Aline Terry, Carolyn Goodwin, Mary Ruth Howard, her husband of 13 years Samuel Andrew Hoggle, and her husband of 44 years Daniel Gordon Frost.

Survivors include her daughter; Susan Diane Hoggle of Tuscaloosa AL, son; Samuel Andrew Hoggle, Jr, of Dallas, TX, sister; Linda Kay Fields, of Moundville, AL and many nieces and nephews.

Mae was born August 5, 1939 in Hale County, AL. She attended school in Moundville, AL. In 1958, she met and married Samuel Andrew Hoggle, they had one daughter Susan Diane in 1961 and in 1963, they had a son, Samuel Andrew Jr. In 1968, Sam became ill and died in 1971. In 1974, Mae met and married Gordon Frost, they were married for 44 years, until his death in 2018.

Mae loved children, having a home day care for 19 years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking cakes, cookies and pies for her family. She was a loving and caring mother to Diane and Andrew. She attended Temple Baptist Church for over 30 years, actively signing in the choir. Later in life, she attended Caring Days Adult Daycare, enjoying every day she attended

Pallbearers will be Tim Harris, David Miller, Brandon Miller, Josh Miller, Shane Mills and John Mills. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. John Summerford, Dr. J. Bradley Proctor, Dr. Jeanne Lipscomb, Dr. Timothy Prestley, Dr. James Geyer, Jenna Cooper CRNP, Enhabit Home Health, Hospice of West Alabama, Caring Days Adult Day Care and Former Members of Temple Baptist Church.

In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Caring Days Adult Day Care in Honor of Mae Hoggle Frost.
