Kentuck Art Center announced today that this year the judges for the 54th Kentuck Festival of the Arts will be Alison Amick and Timothy Weber.

The festival will be held at Snow Hinton Park in Tuscaloosa on October 11 and 12th.

Judges are tasked with the job of awarding a total of $12,000 in prize money to exhibiting artists.

On October 11th, judges will score the artists' exhibits based on quality, originality, design, composition, technique, and overall presentation.

Exa Skinner, Executive Director of Kentuck Art Center and Festival, spoke highly of the two judges selected for this year in a statement that spoke of the great respect in the national arts community for Amick and Weber.

Amick is the Chief Curator and Senior Director of Exhibitions and Collections at Intuit Art Museum in Chicago.

Weber is an artist and craftsman with over 50 years of experience working with clay. In addition, Weber has spent time as an arts administrator, teacher, and gallery owner.

Kentuck Art Center and Festival was established in 1971.

The Kentuck Festival of the Arts is nationally recognized for its quality, diversity, and celebration of artistic styles ranging from folk to contemporary arts and traditional crafts.
