Tuscaloosa Police Suspect Juveniles Responsible for String of School Bus Break-Ins
Tuscaloosa Police believe juveniles are responsible for a recent spat of break-ins and thefts from vehicles belonging to the city school system.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said the department has received reports of several vehicles being broken into Sunday night into Monday morning.
She told the Thread the targets included an enclosed trailer, two trucks and a van at the Tuscaloosa Center for Technology as well as several buses parked at the Tuscaloosa City Schools Depot.
Taylor said some tools, fire extinguishers and medical kits were reported stolen from the vehicles.
No arrests have been made in connection to the thefts as of Monday, Taylor said, but police have developed suspects in the case, and Taylor said they are juveniles, which would limit what law enforcement can release about them even if charges are filed.
