John Hassell Thigpen (September 3rd, 1951 – January 17th, 2023)

Johnny Thigpen, age 71 of Northport, Alabama passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at home.

He was the son the late Hassell and Anita Thigpen of Northport and is survived by siblings Patricia Thigpen, Jan Smith and Jimmy Thigpen. Also a niece Bethany (J.D.) Robinson and a nephew Nick (Brittney) Dickey and grand nephews Tucker Robinson and Lynkin Wetzel. Johnny is also survived by his furry best friend Buddy.

Johnny was a 1969 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Johnny lived his life to the fullest as he saw fit. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
