Money said the driver of a Jefferson County Board of Education building left the vehicle parked at the West Jefferson Town Hall in Quinton Friday afternoon.

When the man returned to the Walker County property Monday looking to begin his morning route, the bus was nowhere to be found.

Money said the vehicle belongs to JCBE and is labeled Bus 12-24. The license plate on the bus when it was stolen read 51932C0. It was taken from the Town Hall at 7000 West Jefferson Road in Quinton, which is about 40 miles northeast of Tuscaloosa, sometime around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Anyone who sees the bus is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450, option 2.
