Event Pros Headed to Tuscaloosa for Spring Seminar
Tuscaloosa is about to become the meeting ground for some of the Southeast’s top festival and event professionals.
The Southeast Festivals & Events Association, in partnership with Visit Tuscaloosa, is bringing its first seminar of the year to the city on Wednesday, April 15. The event will take place inside the Bryant Bank Community Room from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This isn’t just another networking event. The focus is bigger than that.
This year’s Spring Seminar will center around America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, diving into how festivals and events can highlight history while also celebrating diverse cultures across the Southeast.
“This seminar is an exciting opportunity to bring industry leaders together in Tuscaloosa to explore how events can celebrate our nation’s history and create engaging experiences for communities,” said Kelsey Rush, President and CEO of Visit Tuscaloosa, according to the press release.
The seminar will feature panels, presentations, and moderated discussions with speakers from across Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, giving attendees a mix of local insight and regional perspective.

If you’re in the event space, this could be a valuable room to be in. The Southeast Festivals & Events Association is known for strengthening the industry through education, networking, and recognition opportunities throughout the year.
Registration is free for members and $50 for non-members, and that includes coffee and lunch.
For Tuscaloosa, this is another sign the city continues to position itself as a serious destination for meetings, conferences, and large-scale events.
