Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Saves Cat From Apartment Fire Thursday
Thursday night, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire at Inverness Apartments and according to their Facebook page, they were able to save a cute critter from the fire.
"Upon arrival they found light smoke showing from the roof of the structure. As they worked to locate the source of the fire, a Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Officer who was already present at the scene, discovered and assisted in evacuating two victims from the apartment," TFR said in a post on Facebook.
The post also states that both victims were transported to DCH for further evaluation and treatment.
There was an unexpected discovery in the building and Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue was able to provide the appropriate treatment.
"Additionally, a cat was found inside the building and was safely rescued, with Engine 5 utilizing a pet mask to provide it with oxygen," Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue said on their Facebook page.
"The outcome of this incident is a testament to the exceptional teamwork and professionalism displayed by all personnel, TFR, Tuscaloosa County Sheriffs Office and Northstar. Great work by everyone involved."
