Join the Women’s Leadership Alliance of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama for its Annual Celebration, Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hotel Capstone, located at 320 Paul W Bryant Dr, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.

As a network of women dedicated to leadership and community growth, the Women’s Leadership Alliance unites professionals from across West Alabama to connect, learn, and celebrate achievement. Its Annual Celebration serves as the highlight of the year, concluding a season of engaging programs such as quarterly Lunch and Learn events.

Keynote Speaker Announcement

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa is excited to share that Edie Hand has been selected as the keynote speaker.

Hand, a businesswoman, author, filmmaker, and founder of Women of True Grit, a movement that inspires women to share their stories of perseverance and purpose, will bring her empowering message to the Women’s Leadership Alliance celebration.

“I believe all women can find the strength to embrace who they are, navigate their direction in life, and possess the potential to impact themselves and those within their communities and beyond,” said Hand. “You too can turn hard situations into beautiful ones.”

She has authored more than 25 books and produced numerous television and radio projects in collaboration with various media networks. In addition, she founded the Edie Hand Foundation, which promotes acts of kindness and supports programs for youth and community leaders.

In addition, she works closely with Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa with her “Women of True Grit – Pearls of Hope” and “Grit: 101 for Teens.”

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
