Tuscaloos’s DCH Health System Promotes New Director of Compliance
The administrative leadership team at the DCH Health System in Tuscaloosa has another new face after they promoted a new Director of Compliance last month.
In a Friday press release, DCH recognized Rosie Rutley, who has been their leading Privacy Officer and Director of Compliance since October 6th.
The Health System said Rutley has spent almost 30 years with DCH and most recently served as Assistant Director of Compliance.
"With a career deeply rooted in the mission and values of DCH, Rosie is known for her dedication, integrity, and in-depth understanding of healthcare compliance. Her tenure is marked by an unwavering commitment to uphold regulatory standards," DCH said in a press release.
In her elevated role, Rutley will oversee HIPAA privacy law compliance, drug diversion programs and ensuring all departments are preventing waste, fraud and abuse.
“Rosie will bring her forward-thinking vision, vast experience, and patient-centered focus to her role as Privacy Officer/Director of Compliance, helping DCH in its commitment to integrity, ethical behavior and compliance,” said Brent Freeman, Chief Compliance Officer at DCH. “Her promotion marks an important step for the hospital in furthering its mission to provide safe, compliant, and compassionate care to the community.”
DCH says Rutley holds a degree in Healthcare Administration with a minor in Healthcare Management. She is certified in Healthcare Compliance and Healthcare Privacy Compliance and is a previous Excellence Award recipient who loves spending time with her family.
The hospital staff also said she is an active member at her church and chairs the greeter’s ministry there.
