Top Five Wide Receivers Alabama Will Face During 2026 Season
Wide receiver is one of the flashiest positions on a football field, boasting some of the best and highest-paid talent in college football, with the SEC being no exception. With high-quality playmakers such as Cam Coleman at Texas, Ryan Coleman-Williams at Alabama, and Isaiah Sategna at Oklahoma, the SEC has an embarrassment of riches at receiver.

Alabama's 2026 schedule will pit the Crimson Tide's secondary against some of the best in the game. Although Alabama avoided both Texas and Oklahoma for the first time since the 2021 season, that doesn't mean the Crimson Tide won't face some of the top receivers in the country during the regular season. Who poses the biggest threat to Alabama?
Mario Crave - Texas A&M Aggies
The Aggies' second-leading receiver from the 2025 season is back after Craver finished his sophomore campaign with 59 receptions, 917 yards, and four touchdowns. With the departure of KC Concepcion to the NFL, Craver will look to elevate to being the top option for returning quarterback Marcel Reed. The Birmingham, Alabama, native will likely have extra motivation against the Crimson Tide as well. Alabama offered Craver in 2022 before he committed to Mississippi State, and the final game of his high school career came against Alabama's Ryan Coleman-Williams and the Saraland Spartans in the AHSAA 6A State Championship in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Craver caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from Jaylen Mbakwe just before halftime as Cley-Chalkville defeated Saraland 31-28.
Duce Robinson - Florida State Seminoles
Robinson is the leading returner for a Florida State roster that saw significant turnover, with Tommy Castellanos departing for the NFL and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn retiring. Despite that, Florida State returns its top two pass catchers from last season, with Robinson hauling in 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns. He had a relatively quiet day against Alabama in the Seminoles' 31-17 upset of the Crimson Tide with two receptions for 18 yards in week one last season. Despite the quiet day against the Crimson Tide, Robinson still had five games with over 100 receiving yards and six games with five or more receptions. Developing rapport with transfer quarterback Ashton Daniels will be crucial to success this season.
Micahi Danzy - Florida State Seminoles
Micahi Danzy is the second-leading receiver returning to Florida State from last season, hauling in 27 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns with the Seminoles. He started the season at running back against Alabama, with three carries for 56 yards and a touchdown in week one last season, but converted to wide receiver shortly thereafter, where Florida State used him as a gadget receiver. He boasted three games with over 100 receiving yards last season, but finished the year with 216 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Similar to Robinson, developing rapport with Daniels will be crucial for the Seminoles to have success this season.
Braylon Staley - Tennessee Volunteers
With Chris Brazzell II off to the NFL, Braylon Staley is the leading receiver returning to Knoxville with 68 receptions, 837 yards, and six touchdowns last season. His top performance last season came against the Crimson Tide, where he caught 10 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, primarily playing in the slot in Josh Heupel's high-powered offensive attack. Tennessee will have a new quarterback for the fourth consecutive season, so having veteran receivers who know Heupel's offense can help a young quarterback develop confidence early in the season.
Anthony Evans III - Mississippi State Bulldogs
After spending two seasons as a reserve at Georgia, Evans burst onto the scene for Mississippi State as a junior with 67 receptions for 831 yards and four touchdowns last season. His top performance came in a 38-35 victory over Arkansas with five receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns. The SEC's leading receiver came from Mississippi State last season, Brenen Thompson, who had 1,054 yards. Evans was still a top-10 receiver last season and should elevate to the Bulldogs' top option at receiver.
