The Alabama vs. Texas matchup this upcoming season has been named the inaugural Allstate Crossbar Classic.

Allstate and Learfield have partnered up to start the inaugural event, which is expected to become an annual tradition.

"Through an agreement with LEARFIELD, the media, data, and technology services leader in intercollegiate athletics. The newly created game will highlight a marquee regular–season matchup that will be played at the home field location of the host team. The event will bring a bowl-style atmosphere and promotion to an early-season game, amplifying the excitement of some of college football’s most passionate fans. The first game of the new annual series kicks off on Sept. 9 when the Crimson Tide host the Texas Longhorns," wrote Learfield in the official press release. 

The Longhorns and Crimson Tide kicks off on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. CT. Radio coverage of the game will be on Tide 100.9 FM and the Tide 100.9 app which is free to download in the App Store.
