This past Friday night, October 18th, 2024, the Paul W. Bryant Stampede faced 6A region adversaries the McAdory Yellow Jackets, who defeated the Stampede 53-0, handing Bryant their eighth straight loss this season.

The first quarter began with the Yellow Jackets scoring on their first offensive possession, when McAdory's junior quarterback Justin Patton connected on a 20-yard dart to Senior wide receiver Michah Matthews, giving the Yellow Jackets a 7-0 lead after the successful PAT with 9 minutes remaining in the first quarter.

This appeared to be the pattern of the game, as McAdory did not slow down following this score. On the next play, the Stampede lost a kickoff return inside their own 30-yard line, which the Yellow Jackets recovered.

McAdory went on to score 32 unanswered points in the first half, giving the Yellow Jackets a 32-0 advantage at halftime following a successful 40-yard field goal.

The second half was similar to the first, with Bryant failing to get much going on offense, with the Stampede offense committing two turnovers. McAdory went on to build on their offensive success in the first half, scoring on their first drive of the second half on a 22-yard touchdown pass from Yellow Jacket quarterback Justin Patton to senior wide receiver Sean Tolbert, putting the Yellow Jackets up 39 points with 7:17 remaining in the third quarter.

Paul W. Bryant's defense could not keep up with McAdory, who scored 14 more points before the end of the second half, allowing the Yellow Jackets to throw in the backups in the fourth quarter.

The Stampede have lost their eighth consecutive game of the season, with Paul W. Bryat and Head Coach Christion Jones looking for their first victory next Friday, October 25th, 2024, at home against Brookwood.
