King said the driver was not using a seat belt and did not survive the crash - first responders pronounced Lugo dead at the scene.

King said the accident happened around 10:40 p.m. Saturday on Clements Road about four miles north of the Tuscaloosa City Limits.

No further details were available Sunday morning when King alerted local media to the deadly accident, and he said Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
