Fouts pitched a complete game shutout on Sunday as the Talons secured the victory over the Bandits. Fouts's return to Tuscaloosa notched her a championship for the first time in her professional career. The championship was claimed in front of a sell-out crowd in Tuscaloosa, with fans eager for another chance to watch Fouts pitch in front of her home crowd.

Fouts called the Rhoads House home from 2019 to 2023 as a member of Patrick Murphy's Alabama softball squad, where she was named a four-time All-American. During her time at Alabama, Fouts secured 100 career wins, helping the Crimson Tide secure the 2019 SEC Regular season title, the 2021 SEC Tournament Title, and three appearances at the Women's College World Series.

She was named SEC Freshman of the Year in 2019, SEC and NFCA Pitcher of the Year in 2021, and 2023 Softball America Pitcher of the Year. She was also the first Alabama softball athlete to win the Honda Sport Award in 2023.

Fouts showcased her skillset in Tuscaloosa once again, helping the Talons claim the title. The Talons drafted her in the ninth round, with the 35th overall pick, in the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball league draft in January 2025.

Despite a rain delay, Fouts ended the day with seven strikeouts, pitching her first complete game of the season and becoming the first pitcher to shut out the Bandits this season.
