Alabama softball gets another commitment for Team 27 as Michigan's LHP/UT Lauren Esman has decided to use her final two years of eligibility with the Crimson Tide.
Team 27 is taking shape and now has 19 players on the roster as it heads into the Fall Ball period. Expectations will remain high with the return of Prange, Montana Fouts, Jenna Johnson and Ally Shipman. Adding the 2022 MAC Player of the Year will no doubt bolster an offense looking for a lift in 2023.
Bloodworth, a native of Cordele, Ga., will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Pokes. As a freshman she started in 45 games and appeared in 48 total while batting .292 with 30 RBIs and seven homeruns. As an infielder she had a .976 fielding percentage and only had three errors.
She appeared in 55 games as a freshman for the Crimson Tide while starting in 49. Her athleticism was consistently on display in the field defensively as she managed a .942 fielding percentage and only had three errors the entire year.
Fouts announced at the end of May that she would be returning to the Crimson Tide to play her super senior year along with Ashley Prange and Ally Shipman. Team 27 added Emma Broadfoot to the roster as Murphy is scouring the transfer portal for more talent.
