In ESPN's latest mock draft, published on May 19, Woo had the Miami Heat drafting Philon with the No. 13 pick. Philon, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound guard originally from Mobile, Alabama, started 61 of 70 possible games for the Crimson Tide in two seasons under head coach Nate Oats. As a sophomore during the 2025-26 season, Philon averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game while playing 30.9 minutes per game. He shot 50.1% from the floor and 39.9% from beyond the arc as he led Alabama to a 25-10 overall record and 13-5 record in SEC play last season.

He was named First-Team All-SEC and was a Third-Team All-American according to four outlets: NABC, Associated Press, Sporting News, and USBWA.

Alabama has not had a player drafted in the NBA draft since 2023, when the Crimson Tide saw Brandon Miller and Noah Clowney drafted in the first round. The 2026 NBA draft will start with the first round on June 23, at 7:00 p.m. CT. The second round will commence a day later, on June 24, at 7:00 p.m.
