Alabama Baseball Canceled Due to Rain
Spring is a beautiful time of regrowth following the harsh cold of the winter months. Spring rainstorms bring new life to the greenery, especially in the southeast.
Spring rainstorms also bring cancellations of Alabama diamond sports. Alabama softball has already had to reschedule matchups, and now, Alabama baseball is canceling their series opener against Lipscomb, according to Will Miller of BamaCentral.
After waiting in a lightning delay, the rain forced the contest to be canceled. Alabama and Lipscomb will instead play in a double-header tomorrow. According to Miller, both games will be played for nine innings, and there will be 40 minutes between the contests.
The Tide's baseball squad is 12-1 before the series with Lipscomb. After a game against Southern Mississippi on March 12, Rob Vaughn's squad will open SEC play against the Tennessee Volunteers.
