Hurricane Ida: School Closings, Delays in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Area
Hurricane Ida's arrival has caused several area school systems to adjust their hours in an effort to keep students and faculty safe.
Below is a list of school updates in the West Alabama area for TUESDAY, AUGUST 31:
- Perry County Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday
- Tuscaloosa City Schools and offices will be OPEN for TCS students and staff. Families and employees are asked to stay weather aware and monitor the TCS website, social media, and local media for the latest information.
- Tuscaloosa County School System and offices will be OPEN for TCSS students and staff.
- Walker County Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday

- Tuscaloosa Academy will be closed Monday
