The heads of the three largest governments in the region will present their perspectives on the state of our community next month.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, Probate Judge and County Commission Chairman Rob Robertson and Northport Mayor John Hinton will head up the annual State of the Community panel when it returns to the Bryant Conference Center on Wednesday, August 9th.

The event is hosted annually by the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and is presented this year by TTL, Inc.

Last year's address focused prominently on DCH Regional Medical Center, which was facing heavy community criticism recently alleviated by new CEO Katrina Keefer, who has now spent a year at the helm of the Health System.

Maddox, Robertson and Hinton will speak for 90 minutes next month, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This Chamber event, along with the governor's annual State of the State address and the data-drive State of the Economy panel, draws hundreds of area leaders across all disciplines.

Registration for the State of the Community is open now until next Wednesday, August 2nd. Tickets are $45 for Chamber members and $55 for non-members.
