Police Seize 41 Pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine on West Alabama Interstate
Police in West Alabama seized more than 40 pounds of crystal methamphetamine in a traffic stop on Interstate 20/59 Wednesday.
The 17th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force is a multi-agency unit that combats the spread of illegal narcotics in Marengo, Greene and Sumter Counties.
According to a Facebook post from the Task Force, two people driving through the area were pulled over on the interstate in Greene County around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the duo was carrying 41 pounds of finished crystal meth.
According to the social media post, a Florida man named Quincy Chambers and Kyrease James of the state of Texas were both charged with trafficking methamphetamine after the stop.
The exact nature or location of the stop was not provided, and no mugshots for the suspects were immediately available.
