Diners looking for a new place to eat in Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village are in luck as a Georgia-based chicken wing chain prepares to open its doors there.

SRS Real Estate Partners in Birmingham oversees all leasing in the shopping center, and their managing principal and market leader Martin Smith told the Tuscaloosa Thread that Buffalo's Café will be opening soon in the former home of the Iguana Grill.

Smith said the 6,300-square foot space is perfect for the family-friendly restaurant to open its first location in Alabama.

The first Buffalo's Café opened doors in 1985 as a single restaurant in Roswell, Georgia. The restaurant specializes in buffalo-style chicken wings and over a dozen house-made sauces, but its menu also features wraps, sandwiches, steaks, salads, tacos, appetizers, desserts and more.

Buffalo's currently serves patrons at 14 restaurants in Georgia and one in New Jersey.

"We are super excited about this brand, Buffalo's Café," said Smith. 'We expect them to be very successful here given the proximity to the University and major shopping centers at that intersection.'

Although Buffalo's has not yet announced a firm opening date, Smith said patrons should expect its doors to open sometime this spring.
