Fosters Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of a Child
A Fosters man has been charged with sexually abusing a child, according to court documents filed Monday.
Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office Investigators said in a deposition that they believe 69-year-old Low Rinzer Edwards, who lives in Fosters, has had sexual contact with a juvenile at least once in the last five years.
Because of the nature of the case and to avoid inadvertently identifying the alleged victim, no other details about the allegations will be published here.
According to the charging documents, Edwards admitted to the accusations made against him during an interview with TCSO
He was charged with one count of first-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, and booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, but was no longer listed as an inmate there Monday, which may indicate he has been released on a $15,000 bond. His mugshot was not publicly available Monday.
