2 Bodies Found in Tuscaloosa County Sunday, Investigation Underway
Police are investigating two fatalities discovered in Tuscaloosa County Sunday morning, although it is too early to say if foul play was involved.
The grim discoveries were first reported by "Cap" Ray Allen, the traffic reporter for Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa.
The first reports that came in were related to a medical emergency on Interstate 20/59 East near Fosters in Tuscaloosa County, around mile marker 61, which Allen later called a fatality.
That discovery has led to the closure of all eastbound lanes of the interstate Sunday morning.
Shortly after word of that situation started coming in, a body was allegedly found on Frog Ridge Road off of Gainsville Road, also in the Fosters community.
Allen said the Frog Ridge Road fatality may have been the victim of a fatal shooting, but police have not yet confirmed that information.
A police spokesperson told the Thread Sunday morning that investigators are working both scenes in Fosters, but did not have other details to share as of 8 a.m. Police said at 8:30 it is unknown if the deaths are related or if either was a homicide.
