UPDATE Monday, September 20, 2021 - please note that the areas have been changed to cover the Northern half of the area with the greatest chances in the north and east.
Currently, there is Flash Flood Watch for much of the Northern half of the area with the greatest chances in the north and east until Monday, September 20 at 7 p.m. This is due to the potential of scattered to widespread, slow-moving showers and thunderstorms. According to the National Weather Service Birmingham, these storms could bring the “possibility of hourly rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches.”
Please remember to not drive through moving or standing water. It only takes 6 inches of flowing water to sweep you off your feet. The advice from the National Weather Service is, “if you can’t see the road, turn around.”
