According to a post from the TCSO Facebook page, the school entered lockdown mode after reports surfaced of gunshots being heard in a neighboring area. This was done out of "an abundance of caution."

Deputies were called to the school and Northport Police are canvassing the surrounding area.

The post added that the school has now resumed normal operations but officers are remaining in the area as a precaution.

The Tuscaloosa Thread will update with any relevant information on the situation as it becomes available.
