Fatalities Possible in Fiery Interstate Wreck in Tuscaloosa, All Eastbound Lanes Closed
All Eastbound lanes of Interstate 20/59 were closed in Tuscaloosa Sunday evening after a fiery collision that may include one or more fatalities.
Details were spare just after 7 p.m., but early reports and traffic camera footage showed a major wreck just past the Exit 77 on-ramp at Buttermilk Road.

The wreck reported involved a vehicle going the wrong direction and was head-on. It occurred a few minutes before 6:30 p.m.
Two vehicles involved in the accident caught fire.
No traffic was moving toward Birmingham at 7:15 p.m., as State Troopers, sheriff's deputies, Northstar paramedics and Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue respond to the scene.
UPDATE: The eastbound lanes are reopened. Early reports indicate at least two people were killed in this wreck, which state Troopers are expected to confirm Monday morning.
