Forecasts Tuesday afternoon called for severe, widespread and life-threatening storms across most of the state Wednesday, with the Tuscaloosa area at highest risk Wednesday afternoon.

Anyone scheduled for a vaccine appointment after the clinic closes at 1 p.m. will be automatically rescheduled to get their shot during the same time slot Saturday, March 20.

During severe weather events, especially during tornado warnings, anyone in the affected area should immediately seek shelter until the warning expires. For information on the closest public storm shelter, check the Tuscaloosa County EMA website.
