Water donations are being accepted by the city of Reform as a result of the winter hard freeze that damaged water pipes, causing major outages in the city.

Melody Davis, mayor of Reform, said on Facebook the city's pipes are undergoing repairs that are causing leaks throughout the city, leaving many citizens with little to no water pressure.

Davis said those in the Lathan area should expect water restoration sometime on Wednesday. She also stated the city remains under a boil notice until further notice.

Water donations can be dropped off at Reform City Hall, which is located at 3rd Avenue Southeast.

Davis said the city will give two cases of water per car at the Reform Housing Authority beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The address is 510 5th Court Northwest in Reform.

Davis said any elderly or disabled citizens who need assistance receiving water can call 205-375-6363 to have water delivered.
