West Alabama residents can now receive information directly from the City of Northport thanks to a new partnership with TuscALERT.

The City of Northport made the announcement on social media Monday, stating that information about emergencies will now be disseminated through the emergency system.

TuscALERT provides details on weather watches, warnings, and other civic emergencies via phone call, text, or email. The service has been in operation since 2017, and is provided through a joint partnership between the cities of Tuscaloosa and Northport in conjunction with Tuscaloosa County and the Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency.

Registration for TuscALERT can be accessed HERE.
