"All of us at Habitat Tuscaloosa are so grateful to Charles Morgan and his staff at Chuck's Fish for offering this Thanksgiving Feast to our community, for the 100+ volunteers who spend part of their Thanksgiving Day serving, and for the support Habitat Tuscaloosa receives as beneficiary of the donations," Executive Director of Habitat Tuscaloosa Ellen Potts told Tuscaloosa Thread prior to the meal.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit with a mission to, "Make sure everyone has a decent, safe, affordable place to call home."

In a Facebook post, Chuck's Fish celebrated, "Another successful Thanksgiving Feast is in the books, and every year we never cease to be amazed by the generous spirit of this community.

"Thank you to every single one of you that has helped make this tradition possible each year. Every volunteer, every guest, every staff member, every person that has helped spread the word and everyone @tuscaloosahabitat.

"Our job year-round is to feed people and feeding people on Thanksgiving feels even more important, but we couldn’t do it without all of you. We can’t wait for another successful feast again next year. Happy holidays!"
Chucks couldn't pull off feeding so many people (the line was down the street and around the corner) is such a short period of time without volunteers. This year there were 115 who gave up their holiday routine to help.
This is not the only community commitment by Chuck's Fish. The restaurant sponsors the "American Lunch", a 501(c)(3) no profit organization providing meals to people in need.
