One person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation after a structure fire in northern Tuscaloosa County late Thursday night, according to volunteer firefighters in the area.

In a Facebook post just after 12 a.m. Friday, the Carroll's Creek Fire Protection District said they responded to a structure fire at Cove Park off Highway 43 north of Northport.

One occupant of the affected building was transported to an area hospital for smoke inhalation, the firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, they said.
