Carolyn Mills Goodwin (March 11th, 1937 – March 14th, 2022)

Carolyn Mills Goodwin, age 85, of Moundville, Ala., passed away March 14, 2022, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Delbert Canterbury officiating and Magnolia

Chapel South directing. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Magnolia Chapel South.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Beulah Beckham Mills; husband, Bill Goodwin; son, Mike Goodwin; sisters, Sara Hargle, Aline Terry, and Mary Ruth Howard; brothers, Tobe Mills, Tom Mills, Ben Mills, Johnny Mills, Hallie Mills, Archie Mills, Cullen Mills, and Harry Mills.

Survivors include her two sisters, Kay Mills Fields and Mae Mills Frost; and other family members.

Carolyn was born in Moundville, Ala. She moved to Tuscaloosa, Ala. shortly after graduating from Hale County High School. She worked at and retired from Bryce

Hospital after 37 years of service. She moved back to Moundville, Ala. in 2016 and lived with her sister and Kay, and niece, Tammy Fields.

Pallbearers will be David Miller, Josh Miller, Brandon Miller, John Mills, Scott Mills, Shane Mills, Donald Terry, and Byron Mills.

Honorary pallbearers are Encompass Home Health Care nurses and physical therapists, Hospice of West Alabama, and Dr. Angela Smelley and staff.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama or a charity of choice in Carolyn’s memory.
