The Alabama Crimson Tide has picked up its second quarterback commitment in the 2023 class. Dylan Lonergan, a 4-star prospect out of Snellville, Ga., committed to the Crimson Tide on Monday on CBS Sports HQ.

Lonergan out of Brookwood High School is considered the No. 9 quarterback in the 2023 class and the No. 6 player in the state of Georgia.

The quarterback told CBS Sports HQ that he plans on playing both football and baseball in Tuscaloosa. He joins Eli Holstein as the other quarterback in the 2023 class.

Lonergan chose the Tide over South Carolina and Stanford. Offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien and safeties coach Charles Kelly served as his primary recruiters on the football side.

He has passed over 6,000 yards with 57 passing touchdowns and 12 rushing touchdowns with only nine interceptions with three seasons of starting experience in Georgia 7A football.

Lonergan reportedly also comes to Tuscaloosa with a 90 mph fastball and presents an intriguing prospect for the Alabama baseball program.

His commitment gives Alabama 11 commitments currently in the 2023 class and 247Sports ranks the Tide with the No. 18 recruiting class.
