BREAKING: Woman Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting in Tuscaloosa Monday
A woman is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Tuscaloosa Monday morning.
Details are sparse, but Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said police are at Aspen Village apartments where one female subject is deceased.
He said the shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday. The apartments are just off Skyland Boulevard past Woods and Water.
The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the killing and Kennedy said more details will be released at a press conference later Monday.
This is the fifth homicide in Tuscaloosa County this year and the second deadly officer-involved shooting in four months.
