Breaking News: Child Struck by Gunfire at Brook Meadow Apartments
A shooting at The Village at Brook Meadow Apartments in Tuscaloosa left a child injured Monday afternoon. The apartment complex is located in the area of Hargrove Road near McFarland Boulevard.
According to Tuscaloosa Police spokeswoman, Stephanie Taylor, the call came in at 4:18 p.m. at the pool area in the complex on a report that a three-year-old boy was shot. It is believed that his injuries are not life-threatening.

UPDATE 5:45 P.M.: Taylor said one suspect is in custody and another is still missing after the shooting.
The first was arrested outside University Mall, Taylor said. The suspects reportedly ditched a vehicle on McFarland Boulevard, and Taylor said parts of the street will be closed while the vehicle is processed.
