Authorities in Tuscaloosa were called to the scene of an attempted suicide after one person jumped from the Joe Mallisham Bridge Friday morning.

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa News Director Don Hartley says responders were called to the toll bridge after one person jumped into the Black Warrior River.

The individual was transported to DCH for treatment after being rescued from the river No further details are available at this time.
