The Tuscaloosa County Commission appointed April Hoffman its new Chief Financial Officer at their regular meeting Wednesday.

Hoffman will replace Bill Lamb, who has served as the County Commission's long running CFO for 39 years.

Hoffman has 17 years of experience in the accounting and auditing fields. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Alabama.

Previously, Hoffman has held positions as the Assistant Finance Director for Tuscaloosa County in 2019, as well as the Finance Director for the City of Northport.

“Since April joined our team over two years ago, she has played a vital role in our day-to-day financial operations and the financial demands of the COVID-19 pandemic response” said Probate Judge Rob Robertson. “She has been a great asset to the County, and the Commission looks forward to her continued service as the next CFO.”

Hoffman will assume the position immediately.
