Annie Marie Smith (March 1th, 1933 – July 7th, 2024)

Annie Marie Smith, who was born on March 15, 1933, in Tuscaloosa to Floyd O. McMillan and Annie Floyd Davis McMillan, died at age 91 on July 7, 2024 at her Tuscaloosa home.

Services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Noon at Magnolia Chapel South with Pastor Joseph Fowler officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour before the service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 50 years, Carl E. Smith, twin brother; Owen M. "Buddy" McMillan, nephews; Stephen McMillan and David L. Smith, nieces; Janet McMillan Newsome, and Patti Smith Morton.

She is survived by her nieces, Lisa McMillan Gilliland, Judy Smith Colburn, Joyce Smith, Vicki Smith Marion, Jeannie Smith Sosebee, Linda Warren Hill, Carol Warren Aman and Donna Warren Gaddis, nephews; Wade McMillan, Terry W. Smith and Daniel M. Smith, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School class of 1951. Annie Marie retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company with 35 years of service. She was a member of South Highland Baptist Church. Later she attended East McFarland Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau Federation of Tuscaloosa County and they were Farmers of the Year in 1977.

Pallbearers will be Terry Smith, Danny Smith, Robert Simmons, Allan Schramm, Dustin Smith and Ezzard Charles Parker (Sweet Cake).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to East McFarland Baptist Church or The Tuscaloosa Humane Society.
