Clearance Underway at Northport Winn Dixie Closing to Become ALDI
Shoppers looking for a break from sky-high prices can find savings this month at a Northport Winn Dixie store closing soon to become the area's third ALDI grocer.
As the Thread previously reported, the Winn Dixie at the intersection of McFarland Boulevard and Watermelon Road will soon close to be remodeled into an ALDI after the German grocery giant bought the Winn Dixie brand last summer.

The Northport Winn Dixie will close on July 28th and is expected to re-open as an ALDI in early 2025.
In the weeks leading up to their permanent closure, Winn Dixie is offering clearance prices on the stock left in store. Most grocery items were listed at 10-15 percent off on Monday, while other items can be found up to 40 percent off their original sticker price.
The low rates and no restocks mean shelves are emptying and staying that way, so be sure to shop soon for the largest available selection.
