ALDOT: Median Crossovers on Tuscaloosa’s 15th Street to Permanently Close

The Alabama Department of Transportation is set to permanently close two median crossovers along 15th Street to enhance safety, beginning Sunday.

The media crossovers at 15th Street and Seventh Avenue East and on the other side of McFarland Boulevard at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Ninth Avenue East median crossovers will close for good next week.

The construction phase will begin Sunday night at 8 p.m. and will last 10 days, weather permitting.

The inside eastbound and westbound lanes, as well as the McFarland Boulevard inside turning lanes will be temporarily closed during the process.

Possible delays are expected and drivers should use caution in the work zone.
