Alabama's offense faced a major challenge in the national championship game against Georgia when the Crimson Tide offense lost its top receiver Jameson Williams to a knee injury.

The Tide had to turn to a bevy of younger receivers to replace Williams, with one in particular providing the Alabama fan base with some hope.

Freshman receiver Agiye Hall saw his first significant action of the season despite winning 2021 A-Day MVP. Hall struggled to find the field this year due to finding himself in Nick Saban's doghouse.

"In the last, I don't know, all these bowl practices, starting with the SEC Championship game, Agiye has started to develop confidence and he has a lot of ability. And he started to develop confidence in knowing what to do, knowing how to do it, knowing why it's important to do it that way," said Saban. "And I think the players on the offensive side of the ball started to develop confidence in him as well. So he had some opportunities tonight. He made some good plays."

The freshman from Florida was targeted eight times but only pulled in two passes, he did make the most of those receptions taking them for a total of 52 yards.

Despite finally seeing some playing time, Hall took to Twitter to apologize for his spotty production in the championship game.

Hall has been rumored to be a candidate for the transfer portal in the offseason but perhaps his growth in the last month will lead him to stay in Tuscaloosa and become a go-to wide receiver in Alabama's future.
