GAMEDAY WEATHER OUTLOOK: Prepare for a Frigid Football Game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Saturday
Has Old Man Winter Arrived in West Alabama?
As the week continues, colder days are ahead of us. By Wednesday and Thursday, our area will be below average November temperatures. Saturday and Sunday, there could be a very small chance of frost in the early morning hours.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist is forecasting a “clearing sky Friday with a high between 55 and 60 degrees. Then, the weekend will feature sunny, cool days and fair cold nights. Highs will be in the low 60s Saturday, followed by mid-60s Sunday. Lows will be in the 30s and 40s both mornings while guidance has trended a little warmer, there is still a chance of some frost both mornings over the northern half of the state.”
Alabama-LSU Game Outlook
Our attention is on Saturday for the Alabama-LSU game at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The kickoff is 6:00 p.m., and this makes the 4th night game for Alabama this season.
The weather outlook could be considered brutal for southerners.
Saturday is shaping up to be sunny with a high near 64 and a little taste of winter. The National Weather Service in Birmingham advises that it will be 51 degrees at kickoff time. The winds will be up to 5 miles per hour. Therefore, the wind chill factor won’t be horrible in the mid-40s, with clear skies and dry conditions. Be sure to be prepared for the colder temperatures.
As the week progresses, we will keep you updated on any forecast or temperature changes so you can be prepared for the Alabama-LSU game.
