Four middle school students suffered minor injuries when the bus they were riding in Tuscaloosa County was involved in a collision Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa County School System said one of their buses, Bus 95, was driving on Jack Warner Parkway around 3:40 Tuesday afternoon when it was struck by another vehicle.

There were 10 students, all from Davis-Emerson Middle School, riding on the bus with their adult driver.

"All students and the driver were evaluated on scene, and four students with non-life-threatening injuries were transported for further medical evaluation," superintendent Keri Johnson said in a statement. "School administrators contacted parents/guardians from the scene of the crash."

TCSS thanked law enforcement and first responders for their care on the scene and highlighted the quick response from Davis-Emerson administrators and TCSS Transportation Staff.

Alabama State Troopers worked the crash and have not yet released more details about how they believe it happened.
