20-Year-Old Victim Identified in Predawn Shooting in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
The victim of the predawn shooting in Tuscaloosa early Tuesday morning has been identified by officials.
Jack Kennedy, Captain of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, identified the victim as Maurice Jones Jr., age 20, a Tuscaloosa resident.

Tuscaloosa Police Officers were first called to the scene of a reported shooting before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning at 2500 11th Court.
When investigators arrived, they found Jones, Jr. shot. He was transported to DCH but did not survive his injuries.
The Tuscaloosa VCU immediately assumed the investigation.
