2 Found Dead in Burned Home in Holt Thursday Morning
Two bodies were found in a burned home in Holt Thursday morning, according to local police.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told media at 8:45 a.m. that deputies with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office and VCU investigators are on the scene of a home on Garber Street in Holt.
Kennedy said the residence had burned down, and two bodies were discovered inside.
This case is still in its earliest stages, and the victims' identities have not been determined or released.
The VCU investigates almost all deaths that occur outside of a hospital setting in Tuscaloosa County, and their involvement in this case does not necessarily indicate police believe foul play was involved in these deaths.
