1 Dead, 1 Airlifted in Thursday Multi-Vehicle Crash in Greene County
A West Alabama man was killed and a woman was airlifted after a multi-vehicle crash in Greene County Thursday afternoon.
Corporal Reginal M. King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers, said a 22-year-old Vance woman driving a Chevrolet Silverado collided head-on with a Chevrolet 1500 being driven by Lesley V. Carlisle as the two were on Alabama Highway 14 in Greene County.
Carlisle's truck was then struck by a passing 2017 International tractor-trailer.
King said Carlisle, a 69-year-old from Boligee, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Vance woman was airlifted to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
The driver of the big rig, a Mississippi man, was not injured.
The wreck took place around 1:30 p.m. Thursday about five miles west of Eutaw.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
