In an email obtained by the Tuscaloosa Thread, Jody Guiness, catering sales manager for Alabama and Atlanta, said on Wednesday their location at 312 Merchants Walk in North Tuscaloosa will permanently close on Thursday.

"As of today [Wednesday], the Tuscaloosa location is no longer accepting catering orders for pick-up and delivery. It has been a pleasure to serve you," Guiness said.

Zoë's Kitchen was bought by CAVA, a Mediterranean-style restaurant chain, in 2018 for $300 million and since then, more than 100 Zoë's locations have permanently closed, including their former spot inside Tuscaloosa's Bryant-Denny Stadium.

According to reports, several Birmingham-area locations closed their doors earlier this week.
