Shooting Investigation Underway at Apartments in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Investigators are on the scene of a shooting at Tuscaloosa's Woodlawn Manor Apartments Thursday afternoon that left at least one person injured, according to a police spokesperson.
Stephanie Taylor, the public information officer for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said officers were called to the apartment complex on Tuscaloosa's First Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Taylor said a single male victim was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. She said the victim is 17, and his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
No suspects were in custody at 3 p.m. Thursday, and the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes unit was en route to the scene to take over the investigation.
