Officials have identified the woman suspected of intentionally shooting a man in the face Monday morning in Coaling, Alabama.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said that Coaling Police and Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a residence in the 16000 block of Dudley Road in Coaling at approximately 8 a.m. Monday morning.

When officers arrived, they discovered a male victim had been shot one time. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

After collecting evidence on scene and interviewing witnesses, investigators identified Christina Michelle Miller, 34, as a suspect. Evidence suggested Miller intentionally shot the male victim.

Miller was taken into custody and was charged with one count of attempted murder, and certain persons prohibited with possessing a firearm.
